Obituary of Shirley Ann Dobernecker

Shirley Ann Dobernecker, age 76yrs, passed away on 27 December 2023 in Sun City West, Arizona. Shirley was born in York, Nebraska to Gordon A Thompson and Margie Marie (Calkins) Thompson moving to Storm Lake, Iowa at age one. She graduated from Storm Lake High and earned her cosmetology license in Lincoln, Nebraska practicing for many years. Shirley was joined in marriage to Gary L Dobernecker on 3 September 1967 in Storm Lake and they made their home in Lincoln, Nebraska later moving to Texas and then to Arizona. 

 She is survived by an only daughter, Elizabeth Micek (Scott) of Lincoln, NE, three grandsons, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. 

 Private inurnment, when her ashes and Gary's will be reunited, will be held later in the year.
