Obituary of Zabian Jason Martinez

Zabian “Zabe” Jason Martinez passed away on Monday November 6th, 2023 in Chandler, Az.

  Zabe was born on Sunday, August 20th, 2000 in Mesa, Az at Desert Samaritan Hospital. Zabe is survived by his mother Monica Martinez, his father Jason  “Diamond” Joseph, brother Zachary Martinez, sister Zalyssa Martinez, nephews, niece, Nana & Tata Anna And Raul Martinez, Grandma Marion, Great- Grandmother Janet Tiexeira, Tia, Uncles, Cousins, Nina and many, many more uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, homies and coworkers who loved him dearly. 

  Zabe graduated high school and then went straight into the kitchen and became a “professional cook”.  Zabe had a love for cooking and grilling. He was a hard worker who was determined to get the job done even if it was somebody else’s job.  As he would say “Somebody's gotta do it!”  Zabe loved his family and friends unconditionally and had his own unique way of showing it. Even if he threw in a joke or two 20 times a day, you knew it was all love.  Zabe enjoyed taking trips camping, going to Rocky Point, going to mimosas or the river on a hot sunny day. Zabe kept busy at the gym, and was determined to get fit and stay healthy, which he of course achieved. He also loved to be a homebody and just “chill” at Nana’s, as well as taking his weekly Costco/Winco field trips. Zabe always looked forward to “smokin” with his cousin and homies at home then “hoppin” on the game. 

 Zabe is now preceded in death by his great nanas, tatas, family members and 2 of his best friends.

  We are heartbroken and left with a void in our hearts but will never forget our handsome and precious Zabe.

  Viewing will be held Wednesday, November 15th 10am-12pm at Meldrum Mortuary 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, AZ. Follwed by burial Thursday November 16th at 1pm City of Mesa Cemetery 1212 N. Center St, Mesa, AZ.
