Obituary of Thomas Willard Johnson

Thomas Willard Johnson, Arizona resident for over 70 years, passed away on October 13, 2004 at the age of 81. Born in San Pedro, CA on July 19, 1923 to Noma Steele and George Washington Johnson - Tom is survived by his wife of 57 years - Nylis Skousen; sons: Thomas Jr., Robert Lynn, Daniel George; loving daughter, Noma Faller; and sister, Vina May Millett; brother Earl, along with seven grandchildren and 3.8 great-grandchildren. After serving in two theaters of World War II as a member of the United States Navy - Tom graduated with two engineering degrees from U of A and worked for Arizona Public Service as an Electrical Engineer for 38 years. He was a wonderful and giving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who was active in his church and community. He devoted his life to his faith and family and will be rewarded in the hereafter. Viewing and services will be held at the LDS chapel located at 2222 N. 40th Street, Phoenix. Memorial services will be at 10 AM, Monday, October 18. Viewing will be Sunday 6-8 PM and Monday 9-10 AM. Burial will be at City of Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N. Center St. in Mesa following the services.
