She was in the first graduating class from Westwood High School in 1965 where she made lifelong friends. Linda met James "Chip" Hollenbeck in 1968, at a dance at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. They were married in Mesa, AZ on October 11, 1968. After Chip returned from Vietnam, the couple moved to New York where they started their family with the birth of two sons while living in New Rochelle, NY. Shawn in 1970 and Todd in 1971. Linda was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed cooking and provided an amazing childhood for her five boys. She taught them great values and led by example. Linda was a doting grandmother who loved to spend time with her grandchildren and hosted many a family Sunday dinner. She made birthdays and holidays such a joy. There were numerous times that she and Chip took in grandchildren who lived with them for years at a time and she was truly like a second Mother to many of them, as she sacrificed and served her family with patience and tenderness. Linda was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was involved in the primary and cub scout programs as a teacher and den mother. She worked a paper route with her boys as well as numerous temporary and part time jobs over the years. Chip and Linda recently celebrated their fifty-fourth wedding anniversary. Their example of an enduring marriage and the devotion Chip showed in caring for Linda towards the end of her life are cherished much by their family.
