



Obituary of Pete Konomos
Peter James Konomos,82, left us peacefully on March 27, 2023. Pete was born in Chicago on October 4, 1940, to James and Georgia (Salepis) Konomos. The family moved to Phoenix when he was 5. Pete attended Emerson and PUHS, where he met his wife, Patricia Caldwell. Both were students at ASU and married in 1960. Soon after, Pete began his career in banking. He worked for various local banks, most recently Bank of America and National Bank of AZ, where he was recognized several times for his achievements. Pete was a kind, generous, and caring man who focused on protecting his family and was always interested in the well-being of others. He showed his love in many ways, often through mischief and humor. To be in Pete's company was always a gift. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In his retirement, he enjoyed reading, films, and the company of his family and dogs. His final years were spent battling COPD and cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents and his son James, and survived by his wife Pat, daughter Anastasia(Alton Chaney), grandsons Cole Travis and Alton Chaney, brothers George and Phil Konomos (Kandie), his sisters Becky Martin, and Anastasia (Paul Brinkmann), and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held for Pete on Saturday, April 8, at 9:00 AM at the City of Mesa Cemetery located at 1212 N. Center St., Mesa, AZ, 85201. Reception immediately to follow.
