Obituary of Robert Dean Hunn
In Memory of Robert Dean Hunn Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Physician, Teacher, and Friend
A life of service to others and to God may have an ending of sorts, but not a conclusion.
He lives in our memories, in our hearts, and in the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father. He may now resume the role he loved so well: to serve the Lord gladly and faithfully.
Born on June 11, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois. Died on April 24, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona. Third of three sons born to Clifford Esdohr Hunn and Emilie Lucille Daum. His birth and life brought joy to his parents. Graduated medical school in 1964 and became a pediatrician. Served as a physician in the United States Air Force and attained the rank of captain during the Vietnam War. Married Susan Irene Quist on April 6, 1978. Robert and Susan had three sons. He was beloved by his family, and always put his family first. Served in leadership and teaching roles in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout his life.
Suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in 2008 and became wheelchair bound. Died at home, under the tender and watchful care of Susan, who inspired everyone with her dedication and determination to provide him with the best medical care.
Survived by his wife Susan, his sons David, Daniel, and Andrew, his daughters-in-law Kara and Xochil, and his grandchildren Samuel and Mika.
