Obituary of Joan Elaine McFarland

Joan Elaine (Waters) McFarland passed away peacefully on July 23, 2022, due to complications from diabetes. Joan was born April 18, 1947, to Readice and Juanita Waters in Cairo, Georgia. Joan married her sweetheart James McFarland on April 16th, 1965. They were married almost 56 years when James passed away on March 22, 2021. Together they had two children, Traci McFarland and James McFarland, Jr. Joan's favorite thing in the world was being a grandma to her seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Joan is survived by her two children, grandchildren, and two sisters Jerry Karr and Gail Gillespie.
