Obituary of Nadine Torres

Nadine Miles was born on December 3rd, 1948 and was given a golden Pima-Maricopa welcome to Heaven on September 8th, 2022. She lived 73 beautiful and fulfilling years. She grew up in Mesa, Arizona until junior high, then finished high school in Riverside, California. After high school she went on to become a nurse at LA County Hospital. Nadine missed her family back home on the reservation in Lehi, or as she would call it, "God's Country." She then spent the rest of her years living with family, and her loving husband Isidro, who, devoted his life to her and ensured her every day happiness since the day they met. Nadine and Isidro, would often spend their days at the senior center and were disappointed to hear the news of its closing due to COVID. When Nadine's health prevented her from getting out of bed at one point, she struggled to find the motivation to get up. But when she found out the senior center opened its doors again, she seemed to find her strength and the right motivation so she could see her friends again, and to show off her sweaters that her grandchildren had made specially for her with her Native Tribe symbol showing loud and proud. If she wasn't at the Senior Center, she was busy extending her heart to every person ( or stray dog) in need in any way that she could. It didn't matter if there was any wrong doings or misunderstandings in the past. Nadine was always the first to say "you forgive and you forget". That is truly something she lived by and something she always instilled into her family. That helping hand and loving heart didn't extend just to family. She would often take in children who were in need of a home, foster and care for each child as if they were her own. Nadine made sure to spend time with her family, and made each and every one know that they were loved deeply. She was the type of person you just love to be around. She was kind, unassuming, expressive, comical, humble and beautiful soul that will be deeply missed. Nadine is survived by her husband, four children, followed by 18 grandkids and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on September 16, 2022.
