Art and Anita have left beautiful legacies of service and leadership in our community. They raised a loving family and created a successful business and have left a wonderful posterity. They created many friendships with their talents and loving generosity and throughout all their successes, remained humble and always willing to go the extra mile for a friend or where ever they were needed. We will miss them dearly but they will always have very special place in our hearts. Gabe and Eva Sezate

Art was my very best friend and basically a 3rd grandpa to me. Whenever he saw me he would say, "Hey Hav, how you do?" And then he'd give me a hug, kiss, and hold my hand. He'd ask me, "did you stick your hands in the 'fridgerator?" then try to warm my hands up. I have fond memories of eating Boca queso and carne asada tacos with him and ice cream at McDonald's. Even though I'm quite sensitive to dairy I didn't dare admit that to Art and just enjoyed my time eating ice cream with him and talking about and listening to Merle Haggard. "Sing a Sad Song" by Merle Haggard will forever be my favorite song thanks to Art and I'll be sure to "turn down any guy that doesn't play it on the guitar amd sing before they propose" just like Art told me to. Art always told me to sign the artwork I'd draw for him so that one day when I was "rich and famous" he'd have proof he knew me. I always admired how dedicated Art was to bearing his testimony on fast Sundays even though he had physical limitations. He gave me courage to share my testimony. Anytime I talked with him he made me feel like the most important person in the world. I think Art is the most Christ-like person I have ever met and I know the Lord is proud of him for his service to others. I hope that I can be half as good as Art when my time on this earth is done. I love you with my whole heart Art, thank you for being the best friend ever! Love, Haven Nielsen (Hav)

I love this man. I served with Art in the Stake Young Men's Presidency many years ago-when I was a young father and we hiked the Grand Canyon with our sons. I loved his commitment to his calling and developing resilient young men who loved the Lord and honored their Priesthood. I will always be grateful for his example of how he loved his family and his dear companion-and for his wit and smile. Thank you Art for your friendship and service-my life is one of countless others who have been forever changed for the better by you!! Michael J. Merchant

Art was my "Lehi-dad" growing up as a kid, my parents not being active in the LDS church He and Anita and their 6 kids at that time I was the 7th as they would pick me up for church every Sunday evening. A real treat was after services .... Art saying " let's all go to the dairy Queen" and we all loaded up in the brown Ford station Wagon. Art was always smiling & kind... alot like my own dad and that's saying alot. I feel so blessed to have known him and I know he is smiling now and holding Anita's hand!!!RIP Bishop,Cheri 'Beebe Boyce

So very dear and sweet friends almost my entire life. Very good friends with my Parents for many years. Art was like a second dad always watching out for us. He married my husband Jim and I when he became Bishop. My mom, sister and I had the privilege of going to his house within in this passed year and have lunch with him each week and he shared all kinds of memories with us. He truly will be missed. Thank you Freeman children for sharing him and your mom. Love you all

I have so many fond memories of Mr. Freeman at the Orange Patch for about the past 30 years. I would see him when I would visit Katie and Michelle and over the years we would go to taco Tuesday. I visited him in the mobile home at the store the last time. He was always very generous and kind, we shared a few laughs together. He made me feel like I was an Adopted part of the family. My heartfelt condolences go out to Michelle Katie and family. May Mr. Freeman rest in peace.
