Obituary of Richard Lee Sherod

Richard L Sherod age 81 passed away on 10/19/2022 at Banner Desert Hospital in Mesa, AZ after a long illness. Richard was born on 10/05/1941 to Keith and Frances Sherod in Des Moines, IA. He worked for the City of Des Moines for 28 years as Chief Construction Inspector in the Engineering Department retiring in 2000. Richard's family includes his partner Karin Melton, his son Sam Sherod, Karin's two children he helped raise as his own Carrie (Chris) Murphy and Eric Melton. His grandchildren include Sasha, Sam, Patrick, Mason, Aubrey and Elliot and several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Keith and Frances, his brothers Robert and Donald and his sister Marianna. A service will be held at a later date. Events Details are pending.
