Obituary of James Robert Tryon

James Robert Tryon Sr. 83, Born in Mesa, Arizona on April 7, 1939 passed away October 19, 2022 in Gilbert, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Bob and Ola Tryon; his wife Jolene; and his sister Lonnie Tryon Reheis. He is survived by his siblings Judith Teemant (Viljar), Ola Mae Williams (James), Nancy Peterson (Malcolm), Joanna Murdock (Edmund), Jerry Tryon (Larraine); his children, James David, Marc Nikolas, Forrest Drew, Morgen Thruston (Howard), James Robert II (Chris), Amie Madden, Michael Reading, Laura Wright (Wes), Scott Reading (April), Jared Reading (Mandy), Johnny Reading (Stacey). He is also survived by 46 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. Jim was raised in Mesa and helped work on his father's dairy and as an excellent brick mason. He went to Mesa High School where he was president of the Glee club and ran track. Jim served a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Central States Mission serving in Missouri and Illinois. He went to Brigham Young University and later graduated from ASU in Computer Science. Jim loved to garden, music, reading, family history, temple service, and riding long distances on his bike. He enjoyed his family and church, devoting his life to both. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28th 2022 at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for family and friends at Meldrum Mortuary 52 N Macdonald in Mesa, Arizona. Funeral services will be held at Meldrum Mortuary Saturday, October 29th 2022 at 10:00 am. Burial at the Mesa cemetery 1212 N Center Street after the funeral.
