Obituary of Ian David Land

Ian David Land, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Banner Gateway MD Anderson Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona after a three year battle with cancer. Ian was born on December 15, 1982 in Downers Grove, IL and graduated from Chattahoochee High School, Alpharetta, GA and Trinity University, San Antonio, TX. He lived in McAllen, Texas where he worked for the Department of Homeland Security; he was a liaison between the US Border Patrol and US Attorney's Office. He moved to Phoenix in 2021. Ian loved his family, friends, great food, and great wine. He is survived by his parents, Jerry & Jana Land (Peoria, AZ) and his sister, Megan Land, MD (Phoenix, AZ) along with extended family and many great friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 15 in McAllen, TX. The family would like to thank all the great doctors and support at MD Anderson Houston/Gilbert who provided care to Ian over the past 3 years. Organizations close to his heart include Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Wounded Warriors Project, and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
